A Successful Hilo Event

HIC-AACN brought a successful educational dinner event to Hilo on December 12, 2019 at the Hilo Hawaiian Hotel. The dinner was sponsored by Stryker and the continuing education topic featured Kathleen Vollman. The event was attended by members of the HIC-AACN Board and nursing staff from Hilo Medical Center's ICU, PCU, PACU, and OR. Staff from North Hawaii Community Hospital also attended.
Kenny Morris, the Senior Sales Representative from Stryker, has been a partner of HIC-AACN for many years and has been instrumental in bringing education to nurses in Hawaii through sponsorship. Judie Gamboa, HIC-AACN's Vendor Liaison, has been the key in unlocking opportunities such as these through her close relationship and diligent work with multiple vendors. Eileen Wong, HIC-AACN's President, is in collaboration with the chapter board members to bring more educational opportunities to other islands outside of Oahu. Sherwin Alop, the current Membership Chair and past president, is driving hard at increasing HIC-AACN membership throughout the state and encouraging participation in the chapter.
